    2024 Pride March Moments

By Tommy Hom on June 3, 2026

Photos from my time with the Leather Contingent organized by folks from The Eagle NYC. Dated June 30, 2024

Thanks to The Eagle NYC for their quick thinking during the thunderstorm that was ongoing from 3PM.

Heritage of Pride, mission statement reads “works towards a future without discrimination – where all people have equal rights under the law…” Founded in 1984, Brian O’Dell and Candida Scott-Piel were the 2 original Co-coordinators of Heritage of Pride. Brian was also one of the founders of GMSMA and later Bear Cafe. They are both alive and kicking! (Among many of it’s past board members_

  • The Saint – Nao Nakamura 1988 – The Last Dance

    AAPIHeritageMonth #djculture

Nao Nakamura is one of the few Asian DJs in NYC that were part of the Saint legacy (and Tracks was his other home). Japanese (I thought Korean) descent. A number of tracks I have that he played include “So Cold the Night” and “”Disenchanted” by the Comunards along with many of the SAW (Stock -Aiken Water) standards at the time between 1985-1989. I can’t really find an obituary.. The current Nao I find online is well thought of and visible. Saint nostalgia is nothing new along with all it’s headliners . One way of dancing under that stars from the mirror ball and star-field planetarium projector as a centerpiece of the mushroom light display.

He is listed among the DJs for the party on the closing party poster. Dark blue with orange highlights. Text of the event blends into the background.
