The Coney Island Mermaid Parade celebrates the sea. Locals from around Brooklyn come to enjoy it’s festive atmosphere. Family friendly. Boardwalk and parks are open for the day. Weather permitting.. By the time I left – it down poered and it felt great!

I do miss all the motorcycles and their riders – showing off their rides and gear.

Radio City makes an amzing space for a warm cozy listening of your favorite holiday tunes. A hot chocolate or suitable adult beverage will keep you humming along..

The design is from a photo that I had taken pre-show.

Many shops and eateries are around the attractions. From St. Patrick;s to the Globe that the original Superman filmed as a set. 5th Avenue is filled with sounds and lights. Holiday season brings packed streets with cars and pedestrians. Street lane closures help to avoid accidents. Many like myself can be caught hanging out the car windows checking things all around.

    Held June 29, 2024
    Pier 17, South Street Seaport

New location – energized and happy crowd. The Seaport itself was a bit quiet except for the families out. Shaded area for folks with disabilities. Also wandering the pier, I came across an art installation of sculptures.

    Talent was amazing and popping!

YouthPride is tailored to a children and youth and their parents.

Geared toward the LLGBTQIA+ and allies. It is an event well worth attending.
