II remember having some part work delivering fliers in the neighborhood when I reached the age to work. Good to know they are still going – this festival is generally held on the last Sunday in June.

Another beautiful Youth Pride – with a focus on Trans voices. A full line-up that can be found in 2025’s Pride Guide. (check at their website). New was the after dance for everyone . Vibrant colored donuts for volunteers and talent – always a suprise what the staff of this organization dreams up.

Volunteer – Support – Dance!
Memories of 2024

New location – energized and happy crowd. The Seaport itself was a bit quiet except for the families out. Shaded area for folks with disabilities. Also wandering the pier, I came across an art installation of sculptures.
Talent was amazing and popping!
YouthPride is tailored to a children and youth and their parents.
Geared toward the LLGBTQIA+ and allies. It is an event well worth attending.

Coney Island, Stillwell Ave and Surf Ave. Brooklyn, NY

The Coney Island Mermaid Parade celebrates the sea. Locals from around Brooklyn come to enjoy it’s festive atmosphere. Family friendly. Boardwalk and parks are open for the day. Weather permitting.. By the time I left – it down poered and it felt great!
I do miss all the motorcycles and their riders – showing off their rides and gear.
